A Moonlit Night in Patagonia

Patagonia feels different after dark.  As the moon rose above the mountains, the landscape shifted into shades of silver and black. Peaks that had dominated the horizon throughout the day became distant silhouettes, while the valleys and lakes faded quietly into the night.

Travelling alone, I stood for a while beneath the vast southern sky, listening to the silence that settled across the land.

There was nowhere to be and nothing to do but take in the moment.

Some places leave their strongest impression long after the sun has gone down.
