Lonely Horseman

The first light of day crept across the Tengger Massif, slowly revealing the vast caldera surrounding Mt. Bromo.

In the distance, a lone horseman emerged from the morning haze and made his way along the ridge. For a moment, he stopped and looked out across the landscape before continuing on.

I watched as the rising sun caught both rider and horse, separating them from the shadows behind. The moment lasted only a few seconds. 

Then he disappeared into the morning, leaving the mountain to itself once more.
