The Old Pier

The old pier reaches quietly into the cold waters of Last Hope Sound, its weathered timbers shaped by years of wind, rain, and passing seasons.

Anyone travelling through Puerto Natales eventually finds their way here. It is the departure point for the Patagonian fjords and the gateway to Torres del Paine and beyond. The Photographers arrive before dawn, while travellers gather at midday before setting out on adventures of their own.

I am just another passing traveller, standing where so many others have stood before me, each carrying their own hopes, dreams, and reasons. 

As the sun sinks beyond the horizon, my thoughts drift to the journeys that brought me here and those that still lie ahead.
