Held by the Morning
Held by the Morning
Morning light cut the courtyard clean and sharp, the kind that makes stone feel colder than the air. Birds crossed the sky without sound, brief marks against the brightness, while two figures moved quietly below—almost not there, more presence than form. Nothing asked to be noticed, yet everything was.
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”
Quran 30:21
